Terrorists are the biggest threat to civilization most of them are using their religion for shield they are well known for their barbaric activities all over the world. Terrorists have targeted many countries in the world like America in 9/11; Australians were targeted in Bali, Israelis in Mombasa, Spaniards in Madrid, Moroccans in Casablanca and others around the world. Terrorists have their own troops own training camps and a large territory area their roots are very strong they are very brutal and illiterate their major sources of funding are oil depots, kidnapping for ransoms, Extortion, Assassinations, Human trafficking, counterfeiting, and drug trade.
ISIS is the most notorious and brutal terrorist organization in the world officially known as Islamic state of Iraq and Syria controls northern parts of Iraq and western parts of Syria and more than half of the territory of Germany. According to CIA this terrorist group has round about 32,000 fighters they are so brutal and barbaric that they don’t hesitate to kill children and women their purpose is to spread their terror in the world in the name of imposition of sharia. Its founder is Abu Bakar Al-Baghdadi.
Taliban is one and only terrorist group in the world which has whole country under their command and that is Afghanistan from 1996 to 2001. This terrorist group was created in the period of soviet war in Afghanistan founder of this group is Mullah Mohammed Omer now it has round about 60,000 militants their major sources of funding are Drug trafficking, Human trafficking, extortion and kidnapping for ransoms. U.S and NATO forces are fighting with them since 9/11 incident but not very successful Taliban give very brutal punishments to kidnapped soldiers.
Al-Qaeda is the most notorious terrorist group in the world this organization was created in 1988 by Osama bin Laden he led it till 2011 and from then it is lead by Ayman al-Zawahiri. Their main agenda is to strict interpretation of sharia law all over the world and to unite the Muslims against non Muslims communities Al-Qaeda had a key role in terrorist attacks of 1998 U.S. embassy bombings, the September 11 attacks, and the 2002 Bali bombings. This terrorist group is most powerful among others it has strong roots in Somalia, Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan, Yemen etc.
4. Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan
Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan was created in December 2007 by Baitullah Mehsud to impose sharia in Pakistan and later its leaders are Hakimullah Mehsud (22 August 2009 – 1 November 2013) Maulana Fazlullah (7 November 2013 – present) the territory area of this terrorist group is some provinces of Afghanistan and tribal areas of Pakistan its strength is about 25,000 militants. They are very barbaric in nature they are spreading their terror in Pakistan their recent brutal terrorist activity was attack on Army public school Peshawar in which they had killed little age students. Pakistan security forces are busy day and night to eliminate this notorious terrorist group they have done many successful operations against Taliban like operation Rah e Rast, operation Rah e Nijaat, operation Zarb e Azb. It is one of the violent terrorist groups in the world.
5. BOKO HARAM
Boko Haram was created in 2002 by Muhammad Yusuf in Nigeria to impose Islamic laws in country the founder of this terrorist group was executed in 2009 and now its leader is Abubakar Shekau its strength is round about 9,000 militants. The name “Boko Haram” is usually translated as “Western education is forbidden” this group created an air of terror in Nigeria after abduction of 250 Nigerian schoolgirls this terrorist group is notorious for its barbarism they burned many people alive and many of them tortured to death but Nigerian government failed to eliminate this threat from country. Boko Haram has also been responsible for bombing the UN headquarters in Abuja in June, 2011. It is one of the dangerous terrorist groups in the world.
6. Al Shabaab
Al shabaab is a Somalia jihadist terrorist group which means “The Youngsters” this organization was created in 2006 its strength is about 8,000 militants and it is part of Al-Qaeda a well known notorious terrorist group. Its territory area is southern Somalia and Yemen many foreigners had came to train militants of this group they are responsible for the Somalia civil war and Yemen civil war they are very violent and they behave very barbaric with the security forces and other peoples. They train children from their childhood for terrorism.
7. Al-Nusra Front
Al-Nusra Front was created in 23rd January 2012 by Abu Mohammad al-Jualni it is also a branch of al-Qaeda and its operating area is Syrian and Lebanon its strength is round about 10,000 militants. They participated in Syrian civil war they are most disciplined terrorists among others they are the strongest supporter of Syrian rebels fighting the regime of Bashar al-Assad in civil war of Syria. They spread their terror in the area of Syria and Lebanon by imposing Islamic rules forcefully.
8. Al-Qaeda Arabian Peninsula (AQAP)
AQAP was formed in January 2009 from merger of the Yemeni and Saudi Arabian wings of al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula its leader is Nasir al-Wuhayshi and its operation area is in Yemen. It has round about 3,000 militants it is considered the most active terrorist group from all of other al-Qaeda’s branches that emerged due to weakening central leadership. They have done number of terrorist activities like Yemeni Insurgency, Operation Blow to the Head, 2012 Sana’a bombing, 2013 Sana’a attack, Yemeni Civil War, Southern Yemen offensive (2015) etc.
FARC (Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia) was formed in 1964 due to Colombia conflict it is a guerrilla movement It has been known to employ a variety of military tactics. This terrorist group is notorious for illegal drug trade across the world and for its brutal terrorist activities many countries. It has round about 11,000 militants and its operational area is south Colombia, west Colombia, Peru, Venezuela, Brazil, Panama, Mexico, Paraguay and Argentina.
PKK (Kurdistan Workers Party) this terrorist group was founded in 1978 in the village of Fis by a group of Kurdish students led by Abdullah Öcalan and now it based in Turkey and Iraqi Kurdistan. They are fighting to achieve cultural and political rights and self-determination for the Kurds in Turkey its operational areas are Turkey, Iran, Syria and Iraq.
