Almond is a delicious tree growing dry fruit specie native to Middle East and South Asia it is a drupe shape dry fruit consisting of hard outer shell and a sweet seed inside it. Almond is very famous in Iran, India and Pakistan and it is also known as “badam” in Urdu, Indian and Persian language almond is available in different shapes like whole, sliced and as flavor it is often eaten raw or toasted and it is also important component of various dishes. Almond is rich in vitamins and minerals it is very good for human health it helps to lower the blood pressure, reduce the risk of heart attack, reduce weight, and prevent diabetes and friendly to brain. Almond oil is also very famous and widely used in all over the world for the treatment of hair and skin it is also used in hair conditioners, soaps and cosmetics. World is producing around 3.00 million tonnes of almonds every year and according to  Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) United States is the largest producer of almonds in the world with its production of around 1.41 million tonnes.
